The certification
What a Certified Arborist brings to your trees
An arborist assesses tree health, structure and risk — then recommends the work that protects both the tree and everything around it. That means pruning cuts that heal, removals planned around structures, and honest guidance on which trees can be saved.
What we can confirm
Our crew includes certified arborists and follows ISA (International Society of Arboriculture) pruning standards on every job. We do not perform tree topping — the industry practice of cutting large branches back to stubs — because it damages a tree's long-term health.
View Matthew Bowles' ISA certificate below — we're glad to share these credentials with any homeowner deciding who to trust with a tree.
Alongside that, Taylor Bowles brings over 25 years of hands-on experience in everything outdoor, with a broad knowledge of trees, plants and lawns. Nature Tamer, LLC is licensed and insured, and Taylor is personally present on every site.

The right call on every tree
Not every struggling tree needs to come down, and not every healthy-looking tree is safe. Trained assessment tells the difference before work begins.
Pruning that protects growth
Precision pruning supports structure and longevity instead of stressing the tree — the difference between shaping a tree and simply cutting it.
Safety around your property
Removals near homes, fences and power lines are planned, rigged and executed with the property around them in mind.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
An ISA Certified Arborist has passed the International Society of Arboriculture’s exam covering tree biology, diagnosis, pruning, risk assessment and safety, and maintains that certification through ongoing continuing education.
Not necessarily. What you are paying for is the judgment behind the work — the right diagnosis, the right pruning cuts, and the right call on whether a tree needs to come down at all — which often saves money by avoiding unnecessary removals or repeat visits.
Often, yes. Not every struggling or unusual-looking tree is actually hazardous. A trained assessment can tell the difference between a tree that needs monitoring, pruning, or genuinely needs to come down.
Yes. Certified arborist judgment guides every tree-related decision across our services — from land management and tree removal to ongoing landscape and property care.
