Overview
Your yard should be something you love
Nature Tamer is not just a lawn service — we're a full land management company. That means we look at your entire property holistically: drainage, grading, tree health, planting and hardscaping all working together. You won't get that perspective from a lawn crew.
We handle everything from a one-time landscape makeover to ongoing seasonal maintenance, so your yard looks great year-round without taking over your weekends.
Based in Oxford, GA with over 25 years of experience transforming yards across Newton County, Covington, Conyers and the surrounding North Georgia area.
What we do
Our landscaping services — everything your yard needs
Landscape Design & Planning
We assess your property's sun exposure, soil and drainage, then create a design that looks beautiful and won't require constant replanting.
Planting Services
Trees, shrubs, flowers and gardens — healthy, quality plants sourced and installed correctly so they actually thrive.
Mulch & Pine Straw
Suppresses weeds, retains moisture and finishes beds — pine straw is a Georgia favorite for sloped beds.
Hedge Trimming & Shrub Care
Boxwoods, hollies, Leyland cypress, knock-out roses, azaleas and more, shaped and sized for their space.
Flower Bed Installation
New beds installed from scratch, or existing beds refreshed and maintained — weeding, edging and seasonal swaps.
Spring & Fall Clean-Up
Leaf removal, cutting back ornamentals, fresh mulch, shrub shaping and debris removal at the start and end of every season.
Year-round planning
Georgia landscaping — what to do each season
Spring (Mar–May)
Clean-up, mulch refresh, new plantings, sod installation, flower bed prep, shrub shaping
Summer (Jun–Aug)
Lawn maintenance, irrigation checks, hedge trimming, drainage work, hardscaping projects
Fall (Sep–Nov)
Clean-up, leaf removal, Fescue sod & overseeding, planting perennials, mulch top-up
Winter (Dec–Feb)
Tree pruning & removal (dormant season), hardscaping installation, planning for spring
Why it's worth it
Why professional landscaping is worth it
Increases Property Value
Professionally landscaped homes consistently sell faster and for more — curb appeal starts at the yard.
Reduces Long-Term Maintenance
The right plant in the right place with proper bed prep means less fighting your landscape year after year.
Protects Your Property
Proper grading, drainage and healthy trees prevent erosion, runoff and storm damage before they start.
Makes Your Yard a Place You Use
A well-planned yard is somewhere you actually want to spend time, not just something you mow.
Better for the Environment
Native plants, water-efficient irrigation and eco-friendly materials support a healthier ecosystem.

Questions
Landscaping FAQs
Costs vary widely depending on scope. A spring clean-up and mulch refresh for an average residential property runs $300–$800. A full planting and bed installation project runs $1,000–$5,000 or more, depending on size and plant selection. Larger projects involving hardscaping, drainage or sod are priced separately. We always provide a free, detailed on-site estimate before any work begins.
Yes. Many of our customers schedule recurring services — spring and fall clean-ups, annual mulch applications, hedge trimming through the growing season, and seasonal bed replanting. Ask us about ongoing maintenance when you request your estimate.
Absolutely — this is one of the biggest advantages of working with Nature Tamer. Most landscaping companies do not handle trees, and most tree services do not do landscaping. We do both, so we can assess your entire outdoor property in one visit and make sure the finished result works as a whole.
Spring is ideal for new planting, mulching and bed installation before summer heat. Fall is great for Fescue sod, overseeding, perennial planting and end-of-season clean-up. Many services — hedge trimming, hardscaping — can be done year-round. We will tell you the best timing for your specific project.
